Ingolstadt (Alemania).- El Audi A5 3.0 TDI quattro coupé ha sido el modelo elegido por la firma alemana para desarrollar un dispositivo que debería mejorar sensiblemente el comportamiento en carretera.
Consiste en un sistema que inclina la carrocería del coche en el mismo sentido que se aborda una curva. De esta manera, la fuerza de la inercia generada en el giro no se dirige hacia el exterior, sino hacia el suelo.

Por lo visto en las imágenes, este complejo sistema afecta no sólo a los elementos elásticos de la suspensión, sino también a la articulación de los brazos y a la dirección, que pueden modificar sus cotas tanto en sentido longitudinal como transversal.
Los ingenieros de la marca ya han hecho pruebas dinámicas en un prototipo, tanto en circuito cerrado como en carretera y autopista y, en principio, los resultados son de lo más prometedores, hasta el punto de que en Audi aseguran que no sólo se eliminan las fuerzas laterales, sino que además se previene el mareo que suelen sufrir sus ocupantes si, por ejemplo, van leyendo mientras el coche circula.

It reports that Audi is working on a suspension system that allows a car to lean into a turn. It's installed the setup into an A5, prompting a pair of engineers to bring a very stable cup of coffee along for a test ride.
